Chicks leave the nest

It was so wonderful to be welcomed at our friends’ house in Ittre, but the time has come to go.  We felt so secure there; we knew we wouldn’t go hungry or be lonely.  Now we must brave the city.  We are staying a week in the church apartment in a Brussels municipality.

Last night we found our way to a grocery store, but still went out for pizza dinner.  We haven’t gone to Pizza Hut (which is here), and won’t because of the wonderful Italian creations available.

When you’re in the subway you have to press 0 just to get above ground. That may be common knowledge for city folk, but not for this suburbanite.

We found a whole store for frozen goods. I don’t know if this is typical or not but found it interesting.
